About the Role

The Relief Receptionist is a key member of the YWCA Toronto team, responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Elm Centre Administrative Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors, suppliers, and inquiries, presenting a positive and professional image of the organization.
  • Ensure the reception area is welcoming and well-maintained, receiving and distributing all incoming supplies and other deliveries.
  • Answer telephone and in-person inquiries, directing calls to the appropriate staff or program.
  • Perform various administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as assigned by the Office Co-ordinator or Manager of Administration.
Qualifications
  • Completion of high school, including technical or commercial training in relevant fields directly related to the job.
  • 1-3 years directly related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and the general public.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment in handling customer inquiries.
  • Excellent organizational skills and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to deliver culturally sensitive service in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to maintain a positive approach and a professional manner at all times.
  • Knowledge of a second language is an asset.
