Job Summary

The Relief Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Elm Centre Administrative Office. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining a professional image of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries, directing calls to the appropriate staff or program as needed
• Greet all visitors and redirect them accordingly, presenting a positive and professional image of the organization
• Ensure the reception area is welcoming and well-maintained
• Receive and distribute incoming supplies and other deliveries for the Elm Centre Administrative Office
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Office Co-ordinator or Manager of Administration

Qualifications

• Completion of high school, including technical or commercial training in relevant fields directly related to the job
• 1-3 years of directly related work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization and the general public
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment in handling customer inquiries
• Excellent organizational skills and administrative abilities
• Ability to deliver culturally sensitive service in a multicultural environment
• Ability to maintain a positive approach and a professional manner at all times
• Knowledge of a second language is an asset
