About the Role

As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees at Clearpath Robotics. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs that comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of effective health and safety programs to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety.
  • Collaborate with various teams to identify potential hazards, conduct thorough risk assessments, and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Deliver engaging safety training sessions to raise awareness and educate employees on best practices.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, prepare comprehensive reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and maintain emergency preparedness procedures to ensure a swift and effective response in case of emergencies.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in health and safety management within a similar industry.
  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Experience with developing and implementing safety programs, including Joint Health and Safety Committees.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
