About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Atlas-Apex Roofing (Kitchener) Inc. as a permanent employee. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Health and Safety Plans: Create and implement comprehensive health and safety plans to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Conduct Workplace Inspections: Regularly inspect workplaces to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to mitigate risks.
  • Train and Educate Employees: Provide training and education to employees on health and safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and Update Policies: Review and update health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Management: Work closely with management to ensure that health and safety is integrated into all aspects of the business.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and strong attention to detail.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Windows, MS Excel, and MS Word.
