Senior Vice President, Retail Investment Solutions

As a pivotal leader within Scotiabank, the Senior Vice President, Retail Investment Solutions will oversee a designated territory to drive sales and cultivate new business opportunities while managing existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial advisors through regular meetings and engagements.
- Lead a team by assigning daily tasks and ensuring effective follow-up on client interactions.
- Organize and facilitate events, roadshows, and meetings to promote investment solutions.
- Create and review a strategic business plan quarterly to enhance sales performance.
- Segment the client base to optimize service levels and maximize sales across various channels.
- Utilize territory rotations to maintain and enhance client relationships.
- Conduct daily outreach to clients exceeding purchase or redemption targets.
- Manage the regional budget, including approving promotional expenditures and charitable contributions.
- Utilize CRM systems to track client interactions and sales activities.
- Mentor and coach team members to foster professional growth and improve sales techniques.
- Present innovative product offerings and strategic insights to advisors.
- Collaborate with a supportive team to achieve and surpass sales objectives.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, or business administration.
- Proven track record of advancement in the financial services sector.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience and territory management.
- Completion of CSC and/or IFIC certification is required.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and CRM systems.
- Enrolled in or completed industry designation programs (CIM, CFA, CFP, etc.) is preferred.
- Exceptional time management and detail-oriented skills.
- Strong public speaking and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to stay informed on industry trends and developments.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to maximizing sales.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
