Your Role
As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Oversee the Asphalt Paving Foreman and ensure effective operations.
  • Distribute tasks and supervise the team to meet production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop and manage the Asphalt Paving Schedule for all crews.
  • Collaborate with Operations and District Managers, Chief Estimators, Project Superintendents, and site teams.
  • Work closely with Asphalt Superintendents across different districts.
  • Engage with the Asphalt Quality Control and Plant Departments.
  • Contribute to the Construction Regional Performance Committee and Performance Manager.
  • Implement and sustain Asphalt Initiatives, including:
    • Cadence Calls
    • Regional Performance Initiatives
    • Paver Tracker
    • Viewpoint KPI
    • Project Planning Practices
    • Transportation
    • Paving Crew Schedule
  • Manage inventory control of materials and equipment.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with established procedures.
  • Recruit skilled tradespeople as per current protocols.
  • Facilitate training and development for team members to meet company standards.
  • Delegate responsibilities while maintaining overall accountability.
  • Lead the team to cultivate a positive work atmosphere.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Municipal Civil Market.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing Civil projects and diverse teams while adhering to policies and guidelines.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to effectively motivate and manage teams.
  • Experience with projects of varying sizes.
  • Ability to build relationships and provide exceptional training and support to Superintendents and Foremen.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A customer-focused mindset with outstanding communication skills.
