Concrete Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Superintendent to join our team at Kiewit. As a key member of our construction operations, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects.

• Mentor and develop junior superintendents to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
• Review and approve labor rates for foremen, journeymen, and laborers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage contract administration, including communication with subcontractors and field management.
• Develop and implement a program to maintain positive client relationships, including regular meetings and problem resolution.
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Review, approve, and negotiate change orders to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover, including daily diary maintenance for record-keeping purposes.
• Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations for direct reports and recommend organizational, policy, and procedural changes as needed.
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to general foreman level.

• 4 to 8+ years of construction experience, with 3+ years in a superintendent/leadership capacity, preferably working on concrete structures.
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision, highly motivated, and able to quickly learn and understand various processes.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills, with strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.
• Regular, reliable attendance, ability to work productively and meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
• Perform work safely and effectively, understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
