Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Financial Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic Distribution Financial Strategies team. This role is perfect for an accounting professional with a passion for portfolio management, finance, and insurance.

As a Financial Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for the management of internal monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting, working closely with various distribution entities and finance teams. You will produce distribution results and forecasts, analyze and understand results in collaboration with business partners, and advise the team on the accounting and operationalization of complex transactions and financial restructurings.

Key Responsibilities

* Support our business units in the management of their financial performance, including our portfolio of private equity.
* Participate in the financial systems and accounting processes improvement initiatives.
* Participate in the budget process.
* Take a critical look at the controls in place and the various accounting treatments related to our operations.
* Make recommendations and suggestions to management based on your expertise.
* Simplify, standardize, secure and increase controls of different work files.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Professional accounting designation (CPA) or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
* Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, IFRS accounting standards and/or finance.
* Knowledge of the insurance industry is an asset.
* Fast learning, agility and adaptability to change.
* Discipline, autonomy, resourcefulness and professionalism.
* Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Can interact with various people at all levels of the organization, including management and some external stakeholders.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location: Flexible, with opportunities to work remotely or in a hybrid setting.
