As a Financial Services Specialist at Desjardins, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining lasting relationships with members and clients. Your role will involve listening to their needs, offering advice tailored to their financial situation, and helping them choose suitable solutions to meet their goals. You will work closely with a diverse client base, consisting mainly of individual members and businesses, to drive results and ensure member/client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise members and clients on the best strategies and work with them to identify expected results
  • Manage business relationships, assess member/client satisfaction, and identify areas for improvement
  • Stay up-to-date on the financial services industry, market trends, and best practices in your field
  • Participate in outreach activities and represent Desjardins in the community

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience
  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of current financial, economic, political, and legislative events
  • Notions of compliance with legislation respecting the distribution of financial products and services
  • Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
  • Policies, legislation, and standards related to products and services offered by Desjardins
  • Techniques used to assess and monitor individual financing applications
