Job Title: Draftsperson

X&H Construction and Renovation is seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Draftsperson to assist in the preparation of engineering designs and drawings. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches and specifications.
  • Estimate costs and materials for construction projects.
  • Prepare contracts and tenders for clients.
  • Write technical reports and specifications.
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors.
  • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements.
  • Lead and instruct groups as needed.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Handle heavy loads and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Have sound discrimination and be able to work in a noisy environment.
Personal Suitability
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Be organized and a team player.
  • Be able to work in a permanent position with 30-40 hours per week.
  • Be fluent in English.
