About the Role:
ORBCOMM is seeking a highly skilled VP, Strategy & Product to lead the development and execution of the Satellite Line of Business strategic plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, business development, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the Satellite Line of Business strategic plan, driving revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the development and launch of new products, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and mission.
- Identify and evaluate emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive threats, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization of business processes.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with strategic customers, understanding and developing market requirements, and assessing competitive risks and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in product management, business development, or strategic planning, with a strong background in the Internet of Things (IoT) industry.
- Proven track record of delivering software, software as a service, hardware products, and satellite technology solutions.
- Strong business acumen, with knowledge of profit/loss, EBITDA, recurring revenue, and other key financial metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and reach consensus across diverse groups and teams.
- Collaborative and inspiring leadership style, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
