  1. About the Role

    The Vice President, Sales is a key member of the Stonewood Group Inc. executive team, responsible for driving continued predictable and profitable global sales growth to meet or exceed the company's business objectives.

  2. Key Responsibilities
    • Delivering Sales Results: Directly or through the leadership of the sales team, the VP, Sales is responsible for delivering annual and monthly global sales forecasts and results that meet or exceed defined profitability targets.
    • Filling the Sales Pipeline: The VP, Sales must fill a reliable sales pipeline and manage a backlog through the development and implementation of optimized sales, business development, and distribution strategies.
    • Growing Existing Accounts: The VP, Sales is directly engaged in growing existing accounts and projects, further increasing the company's market footprint by qualifying and profitably converting new opportunities.
    • Leading the Sales Team: The VP, Sales leads, builds, and mentors a highly motivated sales team, including developing and managing their compensation, training, and incentive plans, working closely with HR and Finance.
  3. Other Responsibilities
    • Partnerships and Collaborations: The VP, Sales partners with Marketing to ensure lead generation and promotional programs, and sales tools and training are developed to support the company's channels.
    • Customer Satisfaction: The VP, Sales works with the Customer Service team to ensure continued high customer satisfaction levels.
    • Business Intelligence: The VP, Sales ensures business intelligence is collected, disseminated, and acted upon, and provides market feedback to support the company's product roadmap and program.
    • Sales Process Refinement: The VP, Sales refines existing and introduces new sales processes and systems to help fulfill the corporate objectives.
    • Company Representation: The VP, Sales represents the company as a spokesperson to maintain and further enhance the company's world-class brand.
    • Strategic Planning: The VP, Sales helps drive the development and communication of company strategic plans, and the creation, execution, and evaluation of corresponding operational plans.
  4. Preferred Qualifications
    • Sales Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in a channel-oriented, hardware-based, technology business, with at least 5 years of sales management experience.
    • Leadership Experience: Successfully led a sales organization of $40M/yr revenues with substantial US-based focus.
    • Growth Experience: Played a leadership role in growing a midsized company.
    • Global Sales Experience: Demonstrated track record of growing global sales through channels, including OEMs, systems integrators, and distributors.
    • Adaptability: Results-oriented, hands-on, adaptable style, coupled with a willingness to learn.
    • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the high-performance camera value chain, in industrial, scientific, and/or surveillance applications is a major asset.

This position is based at Stonewood Group Inc.'s corporate headquarters in Ottawa, Canada.
