VP, Strategy and Product Development Leader

About the Role:

ORBCOMM is seeking a highly skilled VP, Strategy and Product Development Leader to join our team. This individual will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the Satellite Line of Business strategic plan, driving long-term planning, and ensuring alignment with the company's vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver major new products or services.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop trusted relationships and understand market requirements.

Requirements:

  • Strong business acumen with knowledge of profit/loss, EBITDA, and recurring revenue.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management or equivalent, delivering software, software as a service, hardware products, or satellite technology.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services.
  • Deep domain experience in Internet of Things (IoT) as it applies to shipping, ports, and related industries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to negotiate and reach consensus across diverse groups/teams.
