Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our hemodialysis team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and education in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during pre-dialysis, dialysis, and post-dialysis periods.
  • Collaborate with the RN and other members of the nephrology team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Perform nursing duties related to hemodialysis, including cannulation, heparin regulation, and patient monitoring.
  • Document patient observations, treatment, and care activities.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and attend meetings to discuss patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses with current licensed practical nursing competencies.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Dialysis Program for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • One year recent related experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse in acute care.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Current basic cardiac life support certification.
