Renal Hemodialysis Nurse

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Renal Hemodialysis Nurse to join our team at Vancouver General Hospital.
About the RoleAs a Renal Hemodialysis Nurse, you will work closely with the Registered Nurse to provide direct care to patients with renal failure. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing dialysis treatments, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
- Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest renal hemodialysis techniques and best practices.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses, with a minimum of two years of recent experience working in an acute care environment.
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
