About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at La Baracca. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.
    • Work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Staff Management
    • Supervise and train a team of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional results.
    • Provide guidance and support to help staff develop their careers and achieve their full potential.
  • Inventory Management
    • Oversee the management of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure that we are operating efficiently and effectively.
    • Analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize our inventory management and reduce waste.
  • Culinary Innovation
    • Develop new recipes and menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and techniques to ensure that our menu offerings are always fresh and exciting.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • A degree in culinary arts or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of success in a senior culinary role, with a strong focus on menu planning, staff management, and inventory management.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of culinary professionals.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive results.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
