About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at Ginger & Turmeric. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for coordinating special events, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, and preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination: Co-ordinate special events, including buffets and banquets, to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Operations: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure high-quality dishes and exceptional customer service.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work areas.
  • Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
