Job Summary

This is a key role within the Technical Operations Systems Support Team at Porter Airlines, responsible for developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs and materials to support the Technical Operations Systems Support Team.
  • Utilize various learning platforms, guides, simulations, and in-person instructional techniques to build the technical expertise of team members.
  • Review and update training programs and materials as required to ensure alignment with departmental needs and process changes.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and validation of systems processes to ensure seamless integration.
  • Attend regular organizational meetings to stay informed and contribute to team discussions.
  • Actively participate in Porter Airlines' Safety Management System (SMS), reporting hazards and incidents, and promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Adult Learning Techniques and Computer-Based course development are assets.
  • Experience working in aviation maintenance departments is an asset.
  • Experience with aviation maintenance management software systems is an asset.
  • High level of computing and software skills/knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive unit.
  • Effective time management skills in a fast-paced and flexible work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
