Key Responsibilities of the Regional Operations Manager include:

  • Collaborate with local businesses within your assigned territory to identify, establish, and expand the U-Haul dealership network.
  • Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with small business proprietors and U-Haul dealerships, providing valuable insights into local market dynamics and training opportunities for dealers.
  • Oversee the financial performance of your routes through detailed analysis, aiming to enhance profitability by offering products and services to the communities you serve.
  • Ensure the upkeep and presentation of current U-Haul equipment and displays to maintain operational excellence and attractiveness.
  • Partner with support teams to guarantee the success of U-Haul dealerships within your territory.
  • Operate a well-equipped and maintained U-Haul service vehicle for the distribution of equipment throughout your area. Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on U-Haul equipment and coordinate the recovery of lost or abandoned items.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through U-Haul University.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for operating commercial vehicles
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a D.O.T. health certificate from a certified medical examiner

Work Environment:

The role involves moderate risks or discomforts that necessitate special safety measures, such as working near moving machinery or handling irritant substances. Protective gear may be required.

Physical Requirements:

The position demands some physical activity, including extended periods both indoors and outdoors, moving around, using tools, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
