Job Description

Job Title: Corporate Director, Data Management

Job Summary:

The Corporate Director, Data Management will play a key role in the planning, procurement, and maintenance of clinical and non-clinical furniture, fixtures, and equipment at the Windsor Regional Hospital. This position will oversee the development of equipment planning activities, ensuring that they align with the hospital's vision and design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Planning and Procurement: Provide oversight and leadership for the planning, selection, procurement, maintenance, and lifecycle of clinical and non-clinical furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  2. Project Management: Lead and provide owner oversight and accountability for the new Hospital equipment planning and for all major projects across the New Windsor / Essex Acute Care Hospital Project and Ouellette Site Redevelopment.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the Redevelopment team, Senior Team, Users, and Consultants to issue reports and meet submittal requirements for approvals from regulatory bodies.
  4. Asset Management: Develop and implement an asset management strategic plan and a corporate asset management system.
  5. Procurement and Contract Management: Manage activities of external consultants under contract and confer regularly with scheduling consultants to monitor and update compliance with project schedule.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure that the planning and design elements meet or exceed operational, accreditation, and legislative standards.
  7. Reporting and Communication: Provide reports and a resource to Capital Planning Advisory Committee of the Board, the Executive Committee, and the administrative working Committees for the project.
  8. Leadership and Team Management: Chair the Equipment Planning Steering Sub-Committee and manage activities of external consultants under contract.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering/Medical Devices or associated engineering field. MBA or graduate degree is an asset.
  2. Experience: 5 years of experience in clinical equipment planning and procurement, project management, and/or equipment and furniture coordination experience in a recent hospital redevelopment project.
  3. Skills: Proven experience in effectively managing and leading diverse teams of project consultants and specialists, demonstrated experience in dealing with technical, legal, and financial data, and the ability to find positive solutions to complex issues and problems.
  4. Language: French language proficiency is an asset.

  1. Travel: Occasional travel to support research/education to better inform project deliverables.
