Hotel Front Desk Associate

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at 3059308 Nova Scotia Ltd. o/a HI Dartmouth. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
- Room Management: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations, and maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Front Desk Operations: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and assist clients/guests with special needs.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform clerical duties, such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, and maintain accurate records.
- Technical Skills: Operate a multi-line switchboard, use word processing software, and navigate a central reservation system (CRS).
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Work Environment: Hotel, motel, or resort setting.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent oral communication skills, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach.
