Key Responsibilities:
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account special requests and preferences.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Provide guests with information on hotel facilities and services, including dining options, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Assist guests with special needs, such as wheelchair accessibility or dietary requirements.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff, ensuring prompt and courteous communication.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, including fire evacuation and first aid protocols.
  • Clerical duties, such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, as required.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Work in a team environment, with regular communication and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
