Main Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Director to lead our business development strategy and drive growth in our sector/region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a rich pipeline of opportunities, developing sector/region specific prospect and account plans, and leading pursuit teams to deliver revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth and revenue in our sector/region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including customers and industry partners.
  • Develop and deliver sector/region specific prospect and account plans to drive pipeline growth.
  • Lead pursuit teams to deliver revenue and meet sales targets.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on digital services concepts and our markets.
  • Negotiate and manage senior stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Build and maintain successful partnerships with other businesses in our ecosystem.
  • Manage and develop a small team of staff, focusing on employee performance and career development.
Requirements
  • Expertise in business development processes and deal commercials, including constructing complex commercial offers.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent networking skills and ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Broad technology experience and sound awareness of technology trends and their potential impact on current and future projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital services concepts and our markets, with ability to articulate distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors.
  • Ability to operate in a highly competitive and pressurised environment, making sensible decisions that don't compromise Kainos.
  • Ability to plan and meet deadlines in accordance with business requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, both from a commercial and contract perspective as well as resolving escalations and diffusing issues.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing, mentoring, and coaching members of your team and wider community.
Desirable
  • Experience of delivering and/or selling digital services of scale and complexity (£multi-million) for at least five years in a previous role.
  • Appreciation and knowledge of technology delivery, agile methodologies, etc.
