We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Edo Japan (Richmond Centre) as a Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and take steps to address any issues that may arise.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, and maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we are always well-stocked and prepared.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide leadership and guidance to help them work effectively as a team.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure that we can work efficiently and effectively.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Work Setting: Restaurant
- Language: English
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
