Job Title: Public Housing Review Officer

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Housing Review Officer to join our team at the Ontario Municipal Social Services Association. As a key member of our housing services team, you will be responsible for reviewing lease agreements, investigating allegations of fraud, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify lease agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Investigate allegations of fraud and misrepresentations by tenants, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Assist in rent arrears notifications and collections, and prepare related correspondence and reports.
  • Represent the landlord at the Landlord Tenant Board, and prepare documentation and evidence as required.
  • Conduct inspections of rental units to ensure compliance with lease agreements and safety standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Community College Diploma in Social Services or related Social Sciences.
  • Minimum 6-12 months related professional experience.
  • Valid Driver's Licence (Class G).

Specialized Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate standard and specialized software systems, including YARDI.
  • Knowledge of related provincial legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Housing Services Act and the Residential Tenancies Act.
  • Ability to obtain a Criminal Reference Check.
