Motel Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motel Manager to join our team at Majer's Motel. As a Motel Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the motel, including daily operations, staff supervision, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations
  • Recruit and hire staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality room maintenance
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
  • Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities, such as meeting rooms and event spaces
  • Perform front desk duties, including check-in, check-out, and guest services
  • Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure financial stability
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to attract new customers and increase revenue
  • Implement marketing activities, such as social media campaigns and email promotions
  • Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, including repairs and renovations
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs, such as mobility or accessibility requirements
  • Develop and implement business plans to improve motel operations and increase revenue
  • Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 36 to 44 hours per week
Work Environment:

Majer's Motel is a non-smoking, air-conditioned hotel with a fast-paced environment. As a Motel Manager, you will work under pressure to meet deadlines and provide excellent customer service. You will be required to stand for extended periods and have a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
