Position Overview:

CIMA+ is seeking a Lead Engineer for Road Design Projects to enhance our Municipal and Transportation Design division. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in expanding our transportation engineering capabilities, focusing on the design and execution of road infrastructure initiatives.

This position will initially benefit from the support of our established transportation team, with the goal of developing and leading a dedicated group of engineers and designers. You will engage closely with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to deliver exceptional road design solutions that fulfill project specifications and adhere to industry standards.

Our flexible work model allows for adaptable working hours, with the option to operate from various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and direct road design projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with project parameters, budgetary constraints, and timelines.
  • Build and lead a proficient transportation engineering team.
  • Formulate and implement a strategic growth plan for the transportation division.
  • Establish and nurture client relationships, generate leads, and secure contracts to meet business objectives and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare proposals, including participating in the evaluation of bidding and pricing strategies.
  • Work in partnership with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals, permits, and clearances for road design initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience with a proven track record in managing and delivering multidisciplinary projects.
  • Experience with major road projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong business development acumen, with a history of cultivating and maintaining productive client relationships.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, team leadership, quality assurance, and budget management.
  • Proficient in road design utilizing 3D modeling software, such as Civil 3D.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and sound decision-making in dynamic environments.
