In this position, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of Designers and Engineers, focusing on the organization and execution of technical tasks. Your expertise will be essential in managing design coordination across various disciplines, navigating challenges, and ensuring the successful completion of track design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Rail and Transit Business Lead and Project Managers to oversee the track design project team.
  • Coordinate all facets of the design team to ensure seamless integration of efforts.
  • Develop and verify the technical scope for projects, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Facilitate track design coordination meetings, addressing critical issues that may affect external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all specifications and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as a liaison between construction sites and engineering disciplines, overseeing the review of shop drawings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Professional Engineer designation in Ontario.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in rail and transit track development and design.
  • Proven experience with complex alignments, junctions, turnouts, and crossovers.
  • In-depth knowledge of local Agency Codes and Standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective team building and mentoring capabilities.
