We are looking for a Lead Project Coordinator to become part of our expanding Design Transportation team in Ontario.

In collaboration with the Senior Director of Transportation, you will leverage your technical and managerial expertise to oversee, plan, design, and tender various municipal transportation infrastructure initiatives within a collaborative team atmosphere.

Our hybrid work model supports flexible working hours, and this role can be based in any of our six offices across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage transportation initiatives on local, collector, and arterial roads for diverse municipal clients throughout Ontario, including oversight of schedules, budgets, cost control processes, quality assurance, and operational procedures.
  • Oversee design and contract preparation for urban and rural construction and reconstruction projects, encompassing local and regional roads and highways, environmental assessments, water mains, and storm and sanitary sewer systems.
  • Supervise the design of specific projects, providing guidance to technical staff, maintaining client relationships, conducting technical reviews of documents and designs, preparing project specifications, and addressing various engineering challenges.
  • Coordinate with governmental and regulatory/environmental authorities to facilitate projects through the permit approval process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in project delivery and team leadership, including at least 7 years in design experience with transportation and municipal infrastructure in Ontario.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.PMP designation is a plus).
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary designs and construction projects.
  • Ability to mentor staff to enhance their technical expertise.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D and/or Microstation/OpenRoads, Office 365, and MS Project.
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Valid 'G' class driver's license and access to a vehicle.
