Position Overview:

The role of the Sales Executive within the Vendor Services division is pivotal in engaging prospective technology partners. This position focuses on integrating them into the Info-Tech ecosystem through the sale of (1) advisory memberships, (2) marketing collateral and reprints of analyst research, and (3) sponsorship opportunities at various Info-Tech events. This role is tailored for high-achieving sales professionals who thrive in a dynamic, rewarding environment. Key Responsibilities

The Sales Executive is tasked with generating new revenue streams and driving sales growth by identifying, engaging, and acquiring potential clients within a designated territory. This role emphasizes selling core Info-Tech services and products to technology providers across diverse sectors. The offerings include research and advisory memberships, marketing and sales enablement materials, and event sponsorship products.

Achieving success in this role involves:

Actively developing new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generation, cold outreach, and leading sales presentations, Cultivating strong relationships and nurturing key contacts within the technology provider landscape, Aligning the company's offerings with the needs of senior business and marketing executives through meaningful dialogue, and Meeting established goals and performance metrics, including sales quotas.

Main Duties

Business Development: Proactively identify and drive new business within your assigned territory through various outreach methods. Relationship Management: Establish and strengthen connections with key contacts at technology providers to foster and expand opportunities. Consultative Approach: Utilize a consultative selling method to understand the needs of software providers and align them with Info-Tech's solutions. Tailored Presentations: Create and deliver customized sales presentations to vendor executives, highlighting the value of Info-Tech's research and advisory services. Customized Sales Materials: Assist in preparing tailored sales presentations that cater to the specific needs of target audiences. Market Engagement: Encourage technology providers to participate in upcoming market reports by gathering customer feedback through the SoftwareReviews platform. Partnership Identification: Seek opportunities to establish collaborations between technology providers and Info-Tech's analysts. CRM Maintenance: Accurately document client information and account notes in the CRM system, adhering to internal reporting standards.

Success Metrics

Success in this role is defined by:

The ability to develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach and lead generation. Building and nurturing strong relationships with key contacts at technology providers. Effectively aligning Info-Tech's products and services with the needs of senior executives. Meeting or exceeding established performance metrics and sales quotas.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any discipline. A minimum of 3 years of frontline sales experience, preferably in a fast-paced B2B sales environment with a proven track record of achieving sales targets. Experience selling to executive-level clients, particularly within the software or marketing sectors, is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong business acumen with the ability to engage customers effectively. Self-motivated with a clear understanding of personal strengths and areas for improvement. Experience in advisory, information, or business services organizations is a plus.

The Vendor Services division, also known as SoftwareReviews, is dedicated to engaging and selling services to technology providers. These services encompass three key product lines that drive revenue for the organization.

Vendor Advisory Memberships: These memberships provide vendors access to Info-Tech analysts and marketing specialists to better understand their market and customers, enhance product development, and accelerate go-to-market initiatives. Marketing Assets & Sales Enablement: Vendors can license data collected through the SoftwareReviews platform to create various marketing materials, including reports and infographics. Event Sponsorship: Opportunities for technology providers to exhibit, speak, and brand themselves at Info-Tech events are crucial for both revenue generation and member engagement.
