The role of Commercial Director / Associate Commercial Director within the Vendor Services division encompasses two tiers of responsibility, aimed at engaging prospective technology partners. The primary objective is to integrate these partners into the Info-Tech ecosystem through the promotion of (1) advisory memberships, (2) marketing collateral and reprints of analyst insights, and (3) opportunities for booth space, speaking engagements, and branding at various Info-Tech events. This position is tailored for exceptional sales professionals who thrive in a dynamic, high-reward setting. Key Responsibilities
Generate New Business: Actively seek and cultivate new business opportunities within your designated territory of software and technology providers through various outreach strategies, including direct communication and presentations. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts at technology firms to enhance and expand business opportunities. Consultative Sales Approach: Utilize a consultative methodology to comprehend the requirements of software providers and align them with Info-Tech's offerings. Deliver Tailored Presentations: Develop and present customized sales presentations to executives in marketing, product development, sales, and analyst relations, highlighting the advantages of Info-Tech's research and advisory services. Customize Sales Materials: Assist in creating tailored sales presentations by adapting materials to meet the specific needs of target audiences. Encourage Market Report Participation: Inspire software providers to engage in forthcoming market reports by gathering customer feedback through the SoftwareReviews platform. Identify Partnership Opportunities: Explore avenues for establishing collaborations between technology providers and Info-Tech's analysts. Maintain CRM Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation of client information and account details in the CRM system, following internal reporting protocols.Success Metrics
Achieving success in this role involves:
Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities through effective prospecting and lead generation. Cultivating and nurturing robust relationships with key contacts within your territory. Effectively aligning Info-Tech's products and services with the needs of senior executives in business and marketing. Meeting or surpassing established goals and performance metrics, including sales quotas.Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Minimum of 3 years of direct sales experience, preferably in a fast-paced B2B environment with a proven track record of achieving sales targets. Experience in selling to executive-level clients, particularly within the software or marketing sectors, is advantageous.Preferred:
Strong business acumen and understanding of the IT landscape to effectively engage customers. Self-motivated with a clear understanding of personal strengths and areas for growth. Background in advisory, information, or business services organizations.The Vendor Services division, also recognized as SoftwareReviews, is dedicated to engaging and providing services to technology providers, focusing on three primary product lines that drive revenue for the organization.
Vendor Advisory Memberships: These memberships offer vendors access to Info-Tech analysts and marketing experts, assisting them in comprehending their market and buyers, enhancing product development, and accelerating go-to-market strategies. Marketing Assets & Sales Enablement: Vendors can leverage data collected through the SoftwareReviews platform to create various marketing materials, including reports and infographics, and can engage analysts for thought leadership opportunities.
