This position necessitates independent travel, hands-on tasks, and working in demanding environments such as underground mining sites. Adhering to safety and quality standards while collaborating with teams for field support is crucial. The role requires adaptability between scheduling coordination and field technician duties as necessary.

Key ResponsibilitiesProactive Order Management
  1. Closely track fitting orders to ensure timely delivery.
  2. Promptly communicate any challenges to relevant stakeholders to mitigate potential delays.
Order Verification and Technician Preparedness
  1. Verify order specifics, including locations, timelines, and technician qualifications.
  2. Ensure technicians have the required certifications and site access, addressing any inconsistencies proactively.
Job Preparation
  1. Utilize Trello for effective job preparation and tracking.
  2. Maintain Trello boards for real-time visibility and task management.
On-site Technical Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and inspection of diesel exhaust systems and thermal blankets for heavy industrial machinery.
  2. Perform field tasks, leveraging expertise in diesel exhaust systems, welding, and electrical work while adhering to safety and quality protocols.
  3. Engage with customers on-site and address technical issues as they arise.
  4. Ensure compliance with safety standards during field operations.
  5. Travel independently to various locations, including challenging environments.
  6. Work collaboratively with teams to ensure efficient field operations.
Logistical Coordination
  1. Arrange necessary logistics to facilitate smooth access for field technicians, including travel and accommodation.
Follow-up Procedures
  1. Share documentation and measurements collected by field technicians with relevant teams, updating tracking systems as needed.
  2. Conduct follow-ups with technicians post-job completion, documenting any issues.
  3. Coordinate discussions with engineering, production, quality, and sales teams to address identified challenges.
Client Communication
  1. Provide timely updates to clients regarding resolutions and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
Team Meetings
  1. Facilitate weekly meetings to align the field technician team, review ongoing projects, and tackle any challenges.
Scheduling and Reporting
  1. Keep the scheduling board updated with real-time order changes.
  2. Notify relevant teams of any order delays promptly.
  3. Provide Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) updates as necessary.
Continuous Improvement
  1. Engage in the development and maintenance of new systems as required.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated experience in scheduling and coordination within a technical or mechanical context.
  3. Prior experience as a Field Technician is preferred.
  4. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
Skills
  1. Proficient in project management tools, particularly Trello or similar platforms.
  2. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
