Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for incoming IT support requests.
- Adhere to best practices for IT service management, ensuring accurate ticket documentation and the development of SOPs or FAQs as necessary.
- Provide constructive feedback on processes and suggest improvements.
- Offer technical assistance for hardware, software, network, and operating system issues.
- Manage installations or replacements of PCs, telephones, and peripheral devices.
- Support the onboarding and offboarding processes for staff.
- Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and repairs at the desktop level.
- Collaborate with system administrators or vendor support to resolve issues.
- Research solutions using internal and external resources.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with users to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering, or 5 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with computer hardware and peripheral setup.
- Experience with desktop and server operating systems.
- Proficient in diagnosing technical issues across the OSI model.
Work Environment
- The Help Desk Technician operates in an office setting.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods and maintain focus while addressing issues.
- Physically capable of performing tasks such as data entry and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Able to work early morning hours and travel as required.
Salary - $50,000 - $55,000 based on experience.
