About the Role

Bell Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Intern to support the Investment team in managing the performance and risk profile of Bell.

As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will participate in due diligence meetings and quarterly updates with asset managers, provide detailed financial analysis for new investment opportunities using Excel-based financial models, and review investment activity reports from external asset managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support investment decisions
  • Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc portfolio review reports and pitch decks for new investment opportunities
  • Review weekly research reports, webinars, and relevant market data using Bloomberg and other subscriptions
  • Assist in the market mapping exercise for target markets and sectors
  • Assist in portfolio ESG assessments and Green investment data collection
  • Participate in activities related to the portfolio management software implementation
  • Complete other tasks as requested by the investment team
Critical Qualifications
  • Undergraduate or Post-Graduate degree in progress with a concentration in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, actuarial sciences, or a related field
  • Good base knowledge of the investment world
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal and Financial Modeling an asset
  • Mature, flexible, autonomous, highly motivated team player with good communication skills

This is a summer student position, and the internship start date is May to September or until December. The position type is Management, and the job status is Summer Student.
