Bell Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Intern to join our team. As a key member of our Investment team, you will be responsible for supporting the management of our financial assets and providing analytical insights to inform investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in due diligence meetings and quarterly updates with asset managers to ensure alignment with our investment objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to analyze new investment opportunities and provide recommendations to the Investment team.
- Review and analyze investment activity reports from external asset managers to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc portfolio review reports and pitch decks for new investment opportunities to present to the Investment team.
- Stay up-to-date with market research and trends, utilizing Bloomberg and other financial tools to inform investment decisions.
- Collaborate with the Investment team to identify and assess potential investment opportunities in target markets and sectors.
- Contribute to the development of ESG assessments and Green investment data collection to ensure our investment portfolio aligns with our sustainability goals.
- Participate in the implementation of our portfolio management software to ensure seamless integration with our existing systems.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Investment team to support the achievement of our strategic objectives.
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, actuarial sciences, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in financial analysis and a good understanding of the investment world.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and intermediate to advanced knowledge of financial modeling.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal and financial modeling is an asset.
- Mature, flexible, and autonomous team player with excellent communication skills.
