Role Summary

We are seeking a Financial Analyst I to become a vital member of our Group FP&A team.

As a Financial Analyst I, reporting directly to the Manager of Group FP&A, your contributions will be essential in assessing the financial performance of our global operations. You will be responsible for preparing and consolidating financial data and engaging in various analyses that will inform senior management's strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate a variety of reports and conduct ad-hoc analyses utilizing both current and historical financial and operational data to support senior management's decision-making process.
  • Collaborate with the Investor Relations team and the MD&A and planning team to assist in the quarterly earnings process, including key messaging and internal statistics.
  • Support team members in executing special projects and managing daily responsibilities.
  • Comprehend essential data sources, continuously enhance the effectiveness of reports to ensure accuracy, and provide a historical perspective on various financial and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for senior management's review.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of various work planning activities, coordinating the availability of stakeholders for quarter-end responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related analytical field.
  • One to three years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Progress towards a CPA or CFA designation is preferred; possession of such designations is an asset.
  • Experience in the insurance sector is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, including management and external partners.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning, adaptability, and a proven ability to excel in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
