Financial Analyst Intern

POSITION: Paid Internship, Financial Analyst
REPORTS TO: Lead Portfolio Manager & Head of Research at Timreed
As a Financial Analyst Intern, the chosen candidate will engage in comprehensive investment analysis, which includes: market & trend evaluations, financial documentation & modeling, and discussions with industry executives.
Moreover, the intern will take charge of an independent investment initiative that is expected to significantly influence our organization. Previous interns have successfully undertaken similar projects, allowing them to explore critical sectors of the global financial market while creating innovative analytical tools.
These initiatives, essential for Timreed's ongoing success, have led to substantial investments in firms recommended by interns.
The duration of the internship will be based on the intern's availability (minimum of 3 months). Please indicate in your cover letter your preferred internship period.
QUALIFICATIONSApplicants should possess the following credentials:
Current full-time student or recent graduate from a finance-related program at a Canadian university, at either the undergraduate or graduate level.
Proven academic excellence and leadership capabilities.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
Capability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Fluency in English and working knowledge of French.
Prior experience in finance or investment (internships, student investment funds) is advantageous.
Familiarity with programming and Bloomberg is also beneficial.
