**About the Role**

We're seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Group FP&A team at Intact Financial Corporation.

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in evaluating the financial performance of our global operations. Your work will involve preparing and consolidating financial information, as well as participating in various analyses that will inform senior management's decision-making.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Produce various reports and perform ad-hoc analyses using current and historical information of financial and operational results to support senior management's decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Investor Relations team and MD&A and planning team to assist in the quarterly earnings process, including key messages, Q&A, and Internal Stats Supplement.
  • Support team members in the execution of special projects and in their day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Understand key data sources, dynamically upkeep and increase control effectiveness of reports to ensure accuracy and provide historical view of various financial/operational Key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management use.
  • Prepare and manage various work planning activities, coordinating availability of various stakeholders for quarter-end duties, including team quarter-end calls, deliverables planning, and tracking.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or any other analytical training.
  • 3 to 5 years of finance or accounting experience.
  • Working towards a CPA, CFA related designation. Having a CPA, CFA designation is an asset.
  • Insurance industry experience is an asset.
  • Ability to interact and communicate clearly with a variety of people at all levels of the organization, including management and external contributors.
  • Bilingualism (French-English), spoken and written.
  • Willingness to learn, agile, and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced/changing environment.
  • Strong planning/organization skills and attention/focus on details.
