About the Role

As a Registered Practical Nurse at Schlegel Villages, you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment that prioritizes resident-centered care. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality personal care to our residents, including medication administration and wound care.
  • Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary teams to understand residents' individual needs and advocate for their participation in care decisions.
  • Leading and mentoring our Medication-Certified PSWs and neighbourhood teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Overseeing the medical needs of our residents, including medication management and treatment administration.
  • Following plans of care and identifying and reporting any changes in residents' well-being to the Charge Nurse and Village leadership team.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a Registered Practical Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and making a positive impact on the lives of our residents. To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Heart Save Level of CPR certification.
  • A caring and respectful attitude towards our residents, families, and team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
