Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse - Acute Medicine

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team in the Acute Medicine department at the Juravinski Hospital. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient care needs and implement the healthcare plan in collaboration with the Registered Nurse on the unit.
  • Provide direct care to patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing emotional support.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical setting within the last 3 years.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Documented completion of a recognized IV course that includes IV medication administration, venipuncture, and blood and blood product administration.
