Position: Team Leader - Fund Management

Overview:

As a pivotal member of the organization, you will spearhead the BNS and SSI adjustment teams within the Dealer Services Unit, ensuring that business strategies and initiatives are executed in alignment with regulatory standards and internal protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Foster a client-centric culture within the team to enhance client relationships and utilize broader banking resources effectively.
  2. Oversee departmental operations to meet quality service objectives, addressing client inquiries related to Registered Investment Products, GICs, Scotia Mutual Funds, and third-party mutual funds. Regularly assess service performance and implement necessary improvements while providing management with updates on service metrics.
  3. Ensure precise execution of BNS & SSI Dealer requests, managing daily trade settlements, rectifying rejected transactions, and maintaining an accurate Dealer database.
  4. Optimize the department's human resources by conducting performance evaluations and managing personnel activities such as hiring, promotions, and salary adjustments in accordance with bank policies. Provide training and support to staff, and facilitate regular team meetings to promote open communication.
  5. Identify and pursue opportunities for automation and process enhancements, participating in the development and implementation of new systems while ensuring compliance with legislative changes. Lead or contribute to special projects as directed by senior management.
  6. Assist clients, branches, call centers, and other internal/external stakeholders through various communication channels, providing guidance on policy interpretation and resolving complex issues to ensure complete client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Finance or a related discipline is preferred; possession of a CSC certification is advantageous.
  2. Comprehensive understanding of registered product procedures, including regulations pertaining to Deposits and Mutual Fund Securities.
  3. Demonstrated experience in team leadership.

Work Arrangement: This role currently operates in a hybrid capacity, subject to change based on business requirements.
