Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 956609 Alberta Ltd. O/A Subway St. Albert. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer demands.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators, and maintain accurate records of staff performance and customer feedback.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Environment: The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be expected to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Security Clearance: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check and obtain a basic security clearance.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: The successful candidate will be required to work a 35-hour per week schedule, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Transportation: The successful candidate will be required to provide their own transportation to and from work.
