As a Senior Account Executive for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), you will be responsible for formulating and executing a strategic sales plan aimed at generating cloud subscription revenue with SAP clients. You will need to stay informed about SAP's ongoing and upcoming initiatives in Digital Transformation, Process Optimization, Data Architecture, Modern Analytics, and Application Optimization. The ability to link customer outcomes with SAP and partner solutions is essential. This includes a suite of products related to the cloud-based Business Technology Platform, such as SAP HANA, EIM, Sybase Databases, Middleware, SAP Cloud Platform, Analytics, and SAP Analytics Cloud.

In this role, you will be a catalyst for innovation. Your success will depend on your ability to understand and communicate how SAP can foster innovation within client organizations, enhancing revenue, margins, and market presence. You will collaborate with SAP resources to articulate and quantify the customer vision, serving as the primary storyteller throughout the process. The Senior Account Executive will work closely with various support teams, including presales and global sales support, to meet shared objectives. This position is part of the SAP BTP Organization and reports to a regional leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Showcase the business advantages and value propositions of SAP Database, Data Management, Analytics, and Technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with support teams to maximize revenue for SAP BTP.
  • Identify customer challenges and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Discover innovation opportunities within the client base and mobilize resources to demonstrate their business value.
  • Generate new business sales opportunities in untapped accounts.
  • Manage multiple complex sales opportunities concurrently.
  • Secure complex sales agreements in a competitive landscape to meet sales targets.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the SAP BTP portfolio and industry trends.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in sales.
  • Proven experience in selling Database, Data Management, Analytics, and/or Technology solutions to large enterprises.
  • Familiarity with selling Artificial Intelligence, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Process Automation, and Low Code/No Code solutions.
  • Experience managing large, intricate sales cycles with a track record of meeting quotas.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with CXO-level executives.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and expand existing client relationships.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Teradata, Informatica, and other relevant data management technologies.
  • Understanding of the business value and positioning of Platform as a Service solutions like SAP BTP.
  • Ability to forecast and manage sales cycles effectively, successfully closing new business.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • A demonstrated history of exceeding sales goals and developing territories/accounts.
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
