Job Description

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Deposit Liabilities Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with expertise in deposit liabilities lifecycle to join our team at Onico Solutions. As a key liaison between the business and Information Technology group, you will be responsible for requirements planning and management, eliciting, analyzing, and validating requirements for new or existing processes, policies, and information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, and validate requirements for deposit liabilities lifecycle processes
  • Develop and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs) and functional specifications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and process flow requirements
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and ensure requirements are clear, accurate, and detailed
  • Participate in training and knowledge transfer sessions as needed
  • Ensure business requirements are clear and captured in a manner to provide full traceability through the PMLC and SDLC

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience creating business requirement documents and managing requirements from project initiation through to production release
  • Strong financial services knowledge of online banking, retail banking, mortgage lending, and visa processing
  • Experience leading detailed requirement phases, identifying, tracking, escalating, and/or resolving business systems issues
  • Good listener with ability to document requirements in a detailed and clear manner

Specialized Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of online banking, retail banking, mortgage lending, and visa processing
  • Solid understanding of current IT infrastructure components
  • Strong customer focus and demonstrates a service-oriented culture
  • Excellent analytical, attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong English written/verbal communications skills
  • Ability to provide mentoring/coaching on best practices to project teams/junior team members
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with focus on time management to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic team environment
  • Advanced level on Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio
  • Results-oriented
  • Process-driven – understanding of business process re-engineering would be an advantage
  • Good organization and coordination skill and attention to details
  • Ability to help influence peers and leaders for best possible outcomes

Business Requirements Elicitation and Process Flows:

  • May act as a team lead for the requirements gathering process for projects, maintenance releases, or support trouble shooting for defect resolution
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business clients and other stakeholders to gather business and process flow requirements
  • Accurately/completely translate results of requirements gathering sessions into usable project documentation
  • Ensure requirements captured are clear, accurate, and detailed enough to support downstream design and development activities efficiently and effectively
  • Analyses and documents E-2-E business processes and flow “AS IS” vs. “TO BE”. Communicates impact of changes for implementation planning
  • Updates requirements documents as required to keep them current – throughout the full lifecycle of a product
  • Participates during training and/or knowledge transfer sessions as needed
  • Ensures business requirements are clear and captured in such a manner to provide full traceability through the PMLC and SDLC to support quality assurance of applications prior to their release into production
