Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Banquets Assistant to join our team at Marriott International. As a Banquets Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of events and functions at our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with event planners and catering teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Transport dirty linens to the correct area for cleaning and restock linen shelves with clean linens.
  • Assist other departments as needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Follow all company and safety policies and procedures, and report any accidents or injuries to management.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and take on new challenges is essential.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
