The Finance Team at Brex

Our Finance department plays a pivotal role in financial planning and analysis, as well as corporate development, which encompasses board communications, investor relations, fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions. We aim to be catalysts for change rather than merely a reporting function. Our team collaborates closely with various departments across Brex to address critical questions, solve complex challenges, and drive impactful results. Additionally, we are significantly involved in long-term strategic planning and major decision-making processes for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and model commission and sales incentive structures, collaborating with sales leadership to identify cost-effective solutions and opportunities.
  • Oversee the strategy, implementation, and reporting of commission processing policies and procedures using Captivate IQ.
  • Ensure accurate processing of commission and sales incentive payments.
  • Generate monthly summaries of commission and sales incentive payments for management, including trend analysis and forecasts.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management regarding commission-related strategies.
  • Serve as a liaison within the Finance team, ensuring alignment with Sales, Revenue, and Operations departments to maintain commission accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Continuously enhance and streamline commission processes to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Address escalated inquiries related to complex commission or sales incentive processing issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.
  • Proven experience with the implementation and maintenance of Captivate IQ.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in finance, commissions, revenue operations, or sales operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful collaboration across various functions.
  • Proficient in managing and analyzing large datasets using Excel or other database systems.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Availability to work in the office two days a week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced analytical skills and a solid understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience in a SaaS environment or a business with a recurring revenue model.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Looker.

Compensation Overview

The anticipated salary range for this position is $137,600 CAD - $172,000 CAD. The starting base salary will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's location, skills, experience, market demand, and internal pay equity. Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may be included as part of the overall compensation package.
