Job Overview

Our client, a reputable firm in the financial sector, is on the lookout for a dedicated Finance Operations Manager to enhance their meticulous team.

Reporting directly to the Controller, the ideal candidate will be tasked with ensuring timely and precise financial reporting for a diverse group of companies. Collaborating closely with the finance department, you will be instrumental in managing accounting responsibilities and producing accurate management reports. If you excel in a dynamic, multi-company environment, this position is tailored for you.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Supervising the complete accounting cycle to guarantee accurate financial statements
  2. Managing the general ledger along with all journal entries
  3. Overseeing accounts payable and receivable
  4. Handling payroll functions
  5. Conducting intercompany reconciliations
  6. Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax remittances
  7. Supporting the creation of Review and Notice to Reader Financial Statements
  8. Preparing compliance financial records and documentation for various stakeholders
  9. Reviewing accounting records and analyzing financial documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
  1. Post-secondary education in accounting or business, or a comparable mix of training and experience
  2. CPA designation is a valuable asset
  3. Over 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
  4. Experience in the construction sector is advantageous
  5. Familiarity with Sage and Jonas accounting software is beneficial
  6. Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume environment while maintaining precision and attention to detail
  7. Highly organized with a strong work ethic
  8. Effective time management skills to meet various deadlines
  9. Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster professional relationships
  10. Adaptable and approachable with a positive attitude.
