POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Development Manager for Denim, Non-Denim, Tops, and Bottoms plays a crucial role in assisting the Product Development team with the organization of samples and purchase orders. This position involves managing the sample inventory within the Product Development pipeline, scheduling fitting sessions with vendors and models, and supporting the TOP coordination as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct market analysis, source fabrics, and develop products that align with current trends. Generate purchase orders for factories based on insights gathered during the product development phase. Oversee the product development process, tracking orders from the issuance of purchase orders to their shipment on the work-in-progress (WIP) timeline. Participate in all sample fittings to ensure accuracy and provide constructive feedback through fit comments to both internal and external stakeholders. Manage all vendor communications following the hand-off from the Product Development team. Identify potential issues prior to purchase orders and escalate them to the Product Development and Design teams for resolution before production begins. Monitor daily sample counts to effectively prioritize the development queue. Maintain direct communication with vendors to coordinate updates regarding fit samples. Collaborate with the Fit Team to monitor vendor and live model fitting schedules. Provide daily summaries for all samples: PD, Fit, PP, and TOP. Ensure the organization of the Library in collaboration with the Library Team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, consistently meeting deadlines. Strong follow-up capabilities. Collaborative team player with an openness to dialogue. Effective communication skills, both in-person and via written correspondence. Keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, delivering high-quality results efficiently. Skillful in organizing, prioritizing, and adapting projects in a fast-paced environment. Flexible thinker capable of making sound independent decisions. AFA or AA in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus. This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule during core business hours and is onsite.
