Meat Processing Production Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Vernon Sausage Company LTD. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our meat processing plant.
Key Responsibilities- Training and Development: Train and develop staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure a high level of productivity and quality.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze production reports to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Quality Control: Implement measures to improve product quality and recommend changes to production processes as needed.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of 5-10 staff members, including process control and machine operators, food and beverage processing.
- Materials Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support production operations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a production or supervisory role.
- Work Environment: Cold/refrigerated environment with moderate noise levels.
- Work Setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, team player, values and ethics, and reliability.
