Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of health and safety, operational performance, customer relations, continuous improvement, and people development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule labor requirements to ensure production goals are met within budgeted cost structures.
  • Complete shift briefings to ensure effective communication of relevant information to all employees.
  • Assign and follow up with operators and warehouse staff on task completion times.
  • Ensure order sequences are picked based on priority shipments and customers to reduce waiting times.
  • Hold team members accountable for proper picking and packing procedures and quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze daily/weekly departmental performance through KPI tracking and data collection.
  • Approve labor hours using agile in adherence with company policies and maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Provide daily feedback to employees through coaching and administer performance appraisals.
  • Maintain close interaction with customers to develop strong relationships and assess service requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Fulfill duties of a supervisor under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Accountable for monitoring, achieving, and improving Performance/Activity Indicators (KPIs & KAIs) pertaining to operational efficiency, quality, and safety.

Requirements

  • Five years of distribution experience, preferably in a 3PL environment.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience, preferably in a 3PL operations role.
  • Computer literacy in MS software.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Exemplary attendance and punctuality.

Education

  • Preferably a College Diploma in Business Management with a focus in Logistics Management and/or equivalent experience.
